Happy New Year to all of our MG Community. We are so happy and thankful to have you all as readers, members and customers of our growing community and site. It is a privilege to provide you with some of the most fabulous designs and resources on the market today. One of our most valuable resources that we get to share with you are our designers. They are the backbone of our community. We are so excited to share Judy Sanqunetti of Sanqunetti Design with you to start off this new year right.

Judy Sanqunetti is truly a creative genius. Judy has the most precious designs, catering to the children’s market, but has been expanding into other niches as well. Judy co-founded, co-owns and manages this wonderful business and community, along with another creative genius, Burcu from Mujka Chic. She is one of the most talented, savvy and nicest people out there in the business world. Definitely someone to watch. It is our pleasure to share a little about her with you.

MG: Where do you find inspiration?

Sanqunetti Design: I like to start with a them, so I check out some top kids party theme sites to get some ideas.  I also like to check out stationary companies for color inspirations.

MG: What is your favorite personal design at MyGrafico?

Sanqunetti Design: I would have to say my sugar buzz set.  I really enjoy doing sweet and bakery sets.

MG: What has been your favorite use of one of your designs that you have seen from someone who purchased your designs?

Sanqunetti Design: I really enjoyed the owl softies that were on the community.  I think it was an awesome project.  It is really neat to see my flat artwork transformed into 3D plush!

MG: What are your future plans?  Anything new you’re working on right now?

Sanqunetti Design: I am really enjoying the party market. I think you will see more sets and printables geared specifically for the kids party market.

MG: Can you share some advice for designers out there on how to be successful as an artist?

Sanqunetti Design: Be a show-off!!  Create examples of what can be done with your work so others can get ideas.  Also be willing to try new things with your art and style.  It is the best way to find your niche!

I created this card using  my hunny bunny stamp scene.  The set has many uses! You can either use the whole scene by itself or use the elements to design your own unique creation.

You can even use the frame for general and generic projects.  Size is about 8×8 so it is also perfect for you 8×8 album projects.

The cupcake for the card I used this SUGAR BUZZ SET I wanted to use a clipart image instead of a stamp for this card, just to give it a more chic, clean modern look.   

For the paper I used The Sweet Stack paper from JoAnns.  At MyGrafico we have quite a few sweet treat themed clipart that would coordinate with this paper VERY WELL!!

I also used a scallop punch with the card example from JoAnns as well.  Border punches make your cards look great to give it that extra accent!

Adorable animal faces great for a variety of infant and kid related projects.

This is just one of many creations you can do with our set.  This card was simply made with the pattnern papers and a couple of the graphics. I added the little bows to give it another punch of red.  I also used a 3d glue dot on the heart.

Halloween Layout with Freebies

I had fun playing around with some of the newest freebie sets available.  Using Photoshop, I made a fun Halloween layout.  I began with the Colorful Fall Mini Kit Freebie by Sanqunetti Design to create the layout.  I used her  background paper as my background and then placed one of the trees on a layer on top of the paper.  I reduced the transparency and then changed the layer style to “Soft Light” to add some texture to the background, but not clutter the page.  I duplicated this layer a couple of times and arrangedit to cover the solid background.  After the background was edited, I added a black box and then a coordinating orange box to serve as a frame for my Halloween picture.  I rotated them at different angles for fun.  I added a drop shadow, outer glow and inner glow to each of these boxes.  Then I dropped my photo on the top and added a border around it using the “stroke”  layer style.

I used the free Halloween Stamp set by Mujka Design Inc.  for the word art.  Once I had the layout set, I added this to the corner of the page.  I added some color to the text and then reduced the transparency so it would blend in with the graphics    This project was a lot of fun.
