Time and time again, I see cupcakes being a popular birthday theme, espically when it comes to girls!  Its a great way to have a general sweet theme and being able to get creative with your party decorations as well.

I created this cute birthday invitation from 2 sets of designs from MYGRAFICO.

First of all I used the Baby Shower Cute Backgrounds and Borders designed by JD Digi Designs.  I absloutly LOOOVE this set becasue of the colors and the diversity you get with the set! You can create so many great projects with it, and its fun to mix and match the different patterns. A great addition to this, is it comes with all sorts of borders as well, so it makes a great separation piece when combining papers.

The second set I used in the birthday invitation was this adorable Pink Cutie Cupcakes designed by Kelly Medina.  I was drawn to this set for a couple of reasons.  First of all, its very chic, clean and simple. That alone makes an impact.  Second I really liked that she added faces, it really brings it to life, and it really made the birthday invitation fun and kid friendly.  And of course it being pink!! To Top it off you get three candle accents too!

So as you can see, combining these papers and graphics really came together.  Have some fun and search our shop to find some cool sets to combine as well! I’m sure the result will turn out FAB!

MyGrafico: How did you get started in the world of illustration?

Adrienne: As a children’s wear designer I started out by creating embroidery designs for toddler and infants. From there, I branched into many other types of graphics such as textile design, screen print design, gift wrap design, clip art design and more.

MyGrafico: What do you enjoy the most about working as an illustrator?

Adrienne: I love every aspect of being an illustrator and do not really consider it work.

MyGrafico: Which one of your MYGRAFICO products do you like the most and why?

Adrienne: My favorite product is my Hula Girl Icons design. The colors are so happy and fresh and the design makes me feel warm and ready for an island trip. These icons would be so cute for a kids party invitation or scrapbooking about a cruise or trip.

MyGrafico: What’s next for you? Are there other types of products that you’d like to specialize in?

Adrienne: I am currently working on a line of kid’s knitted hats, scarfs and gloves made in Peru to launch sometime this year. These will be sold wholesale to stores.

MyGrafico: What do you do on your spare time, outside of digital illustration?

Adrienne: My passions include birding and painting landscapes and nudes with acrylic. Tuscany scenery is one of my favorites landscapes and subtle soft nudes. Birding is such a versatile hobby and anywhere can become an adventure. I hope to go to Costa Rica this year and bird and volunteer at an animal rehabilitation center.

Card designs may also be used for announcements and thank you notes once the darling little one has arrived.
